I have blogged about this group and it's lead singer / drummer. I happen to be a faux Facebook friend of his. I've come to find out his Webmistress actually runs his Facebook page. Amélie is very sweet AND she is a poet! She says that she prints out all of his various web messages and gives them to him to read. She also says that she runs all of his web presence for FREE because she admires him so much. She digs the rainbow behind my head in my profile picture!
So, thinking there is nothing to lose, through Amélie the Webmistress on Billy Bob Thornton's Facebook wall I asked Billy Bob and his group The Boxmasters if they were available on April 23rd, so we might fit them into the Austinella's Austin Showcase. You know, since their tour got a little derailed I thought they might need a gig. Unfortunately they didn't need the gig after all.
However today, I found out that the group WILL be doing an in-store performance at Waterloo Records on April 30! So, again through Amélie on Billy Bob's Facebook wall, I asked if I could interview him for my blog.
So, whaddya think happens? A comment from faux Billy Bob on the wall post:
"Dear Charlotte:
I'd love to make that happen for you. I can put you in touch with Billy Bob's publicist and crew to see if they can schedule it. Tell us a little bit about your blog!
Amélie the Webmaster"
So I promptly responded:
"OMG that would be so awesome. You can read it at http://austinella.blogspot.com/. Your source for everything Austin, Texas music. I promise I will be nice! Message me if you think we can make it happen!"
I would like it to be a no-holds-barred interview. I would like to ask him tough questions like "What's it like to tour with Willie Nelson?" But I just promised to be nice. Oh, what a dilemma. Of course it's a dilemma that may not even have to be met, if they don't like my previous blog post about him and his group...

I would ask BBT if his band mates were pissed at him for not wanting to use his celebrity to get potential fans out of it. What, does BBT think that they suck and he's wanting to remain anonymous? That would be my question.
